Condo & High-Rise Moving (COI)

Your building's COI, handled before move day

In South Florida high-rises, gated communities and condo associations, security won't let a moving truck past the gate without the right Certificate of Insurance. We send a building-compliant COI straight to your property manager so your move is approved — not turned away.

Building-compliant COIs

Customized Certificates of Insurance naming your building or association as Additional Insured, matching the exact wording your management requires.

Delivered ahead of move day

We send the certificate directly to your property manager in advance, so security approves entry at the gate and loading dock.

For residents & managers

Buyers, sellers, renters and property managers can all send us the building's insurance requirements with an estimate request.

What a condo COI usually requires

Requirements vary by building. Associations commonly ask for coverage like the following — always check your building's exact list and send it to us:

  • ✓ The building or association named as "Additional Insured" with its exact legal name and address
  • ✓ General liability coverage (often $1,000,000)
  • ✓ Cargo coverage for your belongings in transit
  • ✓ Workers' compensation for the moving crew
  • ✓ Certificate holder listed as the management company
  • ✓ Delivery by a deadline before move day (often 48–72 hours)

Condo move logistics: plan these early

Book the freight elevator

Most buildings require you to reserve the freight or service elevator through management. Reserve early — weekend slots go fast — and ask whether padding is provided.

Know the moving-hour cutoffs

Many associations only allow moves during set hours, for example 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, with no moves on Sundays or holidays. We schedule the crew to finish inside your window.

Clear the loading dock

Confirm dock reservations, truck height limits and where the truck may park. Tell us about gate codes, guard check-in and parking-garage clearance.

Also ask your association about move-in deposits, required move applications and whether a building staff member must be present.

Quick COI request

Enter your building's insurance requirements with your estimate request. Property managers are welcome to fill this in for a resident too.
